Pyrolytic and Self Cleaning Oven Buying Guide
A pyrolytic oven provides an easy and efficient way to keep your kitchen clean. By heating up the inside of the pyrolytic oven between 400 and 500 degrees Celsius (depending on power supplied to the oven), it burns food residue into a fine ash which is easily wiped away when the cycle has finished. This makes cleaning after cooking easier than ever before. Additionally, pyrolytic ovens provide multiple functions that make cooking more convenient and time-saving, such as convection baking, roasting, grilling, steaming and pyrolytic self-cleaning mode.
Pyrolytic ovens are perfect for busy families who don’t have much time to spend on cleaning their kitchen appliances but still want quality meals cooked in a short amount of time. Not only do pyrolytic ovens save time, they also provide energy savings as pyrolytic self-cleaning uses less energy than traditional cleaning methods.
For those looking for the ultimate convenience in their kitchen, pyrolytic ovens are the perfect choice. With modern features and technology combined with easy-to-use functions, pyrolytic ovens make it possible to enjoy delicious homemade meals without the hassle of extra cleanup time. With its advanced pyrolytic self-cleaning mode, an efficient cooking experience and energy savings, pyrolytic ovens offer a great solution for busy families who want to make sure that their kitchen remains clean and tidy at all times.
Anything else I need to know?
Most ovens will hold the door locked after the cycle due to the excessive heat used in the pyro cycle. This means you'll need to add half an hour or so onto your cycle for the cooling process.
How often should I run the pyrolytic cycle?
It's recommended by manufacturers to run the cycle every other month.
What other options are there to pyrolytic ovens?
It's a great question, pyrolytic ovens aren't for everyone. Here at My Appliances we ensure you have a choice, the alternative is a steam clean oven. These differ to pyrolytic ovens in the fact we don't aim to burn the residue but instead entice it of with the use of steam.
Steam clean ovens have a slightly inclined oven base, allowing the user to pour water into the base. The oven runs it's steam cycle and turns the water into hot steam that gets around the cavity, softening grease and grim as it goes. When the cycle has finished wiping the oven clean couldn't be easier.
